Modes Interface
In this section, we briefly run through what each of the modes are for.
Preview Mode
Chat Input
- Prompting: Use the chat input to tell Zapi what you want to build
- Select Tool: Use the Select tool to select elements in the preview window to provide Zapi with precise instructions on what actions to take
- Upload images: Upload files by clicking on the Image tool or drag images directly into the chat. You can ask Zapi to refer to the image or place the image onto the site.
Preview Window
- Navigation: Navigate around your site by selecting paths
- View Checkpoints: Quickly resize the preview to see how your site looks in different view sizes
- Refresh Button: Helps when you want to check behavior related to reloading of a page such as initial page animations
- Open Preview in New Window
Assets Mode
- Upload new images, rename or delete them in Assets Mode
- Sort alphabetically or by upload date to find images easily
- Images uploaded into chat will also be uploaded into assets. You can remove them when you no longer need them.
- Images can be dragged from the Assets window directly into chat. You can use this so that images don’t get uploaded repetitively.
- Copy the links of the images and provide the links to Zapi in chat if you want Zapi to implement the images on the site
Content Mode
- Go to Site Settings to set a site name and robots.txt
- All SEO-able pages will be available in the Content Mode for your to edit the SEO
- If you have any content collections, you can also edit the content here
Secrets Mode (Work-in-progress)
- View the secrets used for your database here. Do not share these.
- Secrets are currently readonly.
Database Mode
- Database (Preview) applies to when you are developing the site and does not affect what is published
- Database (Live) is live data used and collected by your published site.
